Angels Dinner

Angels Dinner

Each summer the Golden Slipper Camp serves more than 60,000 nutritious meals to approximately 600 children ages 7 - 15 years old and the camp staff.

A team of volunteers supports the Golden Slipper Camp staff to raise funds all year long to secure the food needed for the camp and to provide scholarship assistance to the children and their families.

Many of our Campers are from families led by single mothers, who are separated or divorced, with two kids, earning low annual incomes. They have normal kids who need attention and love, and they get that in their experience of Golden Slipper Camp.

We rely on the generous support of the food industry. To see a list of supporters, click here. Grocery and convenience stores, food and snack food manufacturers, bakeries, dairies, and many others contribute food, supplies and services to make sure that the active boys and girls are well nourished and after long days of fun and challenge.

To celebrate those who contribute so much to our operation, we hold an annual Angels Dinner-to honor and thank the Angels in our community who support our dedicated efforts.
